Fall’s found us out here in the country. Temperatures that hovered around 90 degrees all summer long finally broke this weekend and autumn’s cool breath blew in. The leaves are beginning to turn, slowly. The grass made green and soft all summer long now is dulling, getting ready to move dormant. The sky at Lyric Springs in the Fall is crisp blue dotted with whispers of white clouds. At sunset on clear nights the sun paints those clouds with her own palette of orange and yellow. The night sky issues a seemingly endless array of stars. Looking into those stars on a cold autumn night I often feel as though I might swim right up into them.
Yes, Fall’s finally found us out here in the country…and not a moment too soon.
